Emory & Henry is nestled in an outdoor wonderland. Just miles away from gems such as The Appalachian and Iron Mountain trails, The Virginia Creeper Trail, The Mount Rogers National Recreation Area, The Jefferson and George Washington national forests, and the New, Holston, and Clinch rivers are all close by. Students have the opportunity to explore lush forests, ascend mountains, and paddle creaks just minutes from the Emory & Henry Colleges campus.
The team chooses a destination, plans and then leads the annual Spring Break Expedition. The two umbrella objectives for the Expedition are for the members of the expedition team to share the expedition planning process and to cultivate the group dynamic through effective team building. Both objectives require a goal-oriented process and a lot of hard work, but in the end can produce an experience that is the most rewarding kind of adventure fun.
