A native of Roanoke, Virginia, Carter Aylor graduated from Emory & Henry College in 2014 and began his professional career shortly thereafter as an Admissions Counselor. Carter works with students from Virginia who live in the counties of Alleghany, Augusta, Bath, Bedford, Botetourt, Craig, Franklin, Henry, Highland, Lee, Patrick, Pittsylvania, Roanoke, Rockbridge, Rockingham, Russell, Scott, and Wise and the cities of Bedford, Covington, Danville, Harrisonburg, Martinsville, Norton, Roanoke, Salem, Staunton, and Waynesboro. Carter also works with students from western North Carolina and from the states of Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Hawai'i, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico, Oregon, Utah, Washington, and Wyoming.
While he was a student at Emory & Henry, Carter was an active member of the Dom-I-Necher fraternity, served as the Treasurer of the Student Government Association, and was the Work-Study for the Office of Institutional Advancement. Furthermore, Carter completed his undergraduate honors thesis in History titled Jedediah Hotchkiss: Pioneering a Legacy for the New South. In his free time Carter loves to travel and spend time outside by going hiking and fishing.
